Day 1
Welcome to Saariselkä

You'll be heading 200km above the Arctic Circle to a land that feels like another world! You might see some cheeky elves along the way so look out for them!

Enjoy the thrill of tobogganing, where even grown-ups can unleash their inner child! Twist and turn your way down, then head back for another go! If it that's not your thing, create new snow friends by building snowmen and carving out snow angels in the think snow or have a snowball fight if you dare! Your thermal suits will keep you warm and dry and by the time you're finished, it'll be dinner!

Day 2
The Santa Search

Today's the day! Race across the snow on a husky ride and enjoy the serene setting on a reindeer sleigh ride. Our Elves will lend a helping hand while you search for Santa's secret cabin. You'll then step into a real life igloo, where a magical surprise is waiting just for you!

Then it's time for lunch - recharge your batteries and then you'll get stuck into some winter games with kick-sledding, snow-hockey and mini skidoo rides! Try your hand at some Crazy Reindeer Golf or get some extra tobogganing in! Then you'll get to pop inside a traditional Kota (it's like a teepee) where you can warm up in front of a fire and have some refreshments.

Santa's Secret Log Cabin
Everything leads up to this magical moment. Tucked away in the forests where dreams come true! All aboard the snowmobile sleigh for your private meeting with Santa! Keep your eyes peeled for some surprises along the route! And once you've had you meeting and picked up your gift, it's time to have your Festive Dinner!

Day 3
Dream a Little Longer

Now you've got a little more time to explore!

Wonder around the village's shops to see all the hand-made Lappish gifts, clothes, toys and Christmas trinkets. Take a memory home with you.

But if you're after more adventure then you can head out on a sleigh or go for a winter walk in the forest. Then you'll be on your way home but make sure you've got plenty of room in your case for all those magical memories!

What do you wear in Lapland?

Layers! Lots of them! Santa's home is tucked away, deep within the Lapland Arctic Circle. Winters here are very cold so you'll need to wrap up. Lots of warm layers are needed, cosy hats, scarves and gloves as well as some sensible shoes. We recommend bringing extra mittens or gloves and ideally waterproof ones (for the snow play) and suggest that hats have ear flaps to keep your ears cosy! If you have any thermal's then bring them along too!

Should I bring a camera with me?

Sure! Why not?! There will be so many magical moments to capture! However, extreme cold can adversely affect some camera's so please do check the manufacturers' guidelines. Camera and phone batteries also discharge very quickly in the cold, so bring plenty of spares! Also, be aware of the "twilight" times, when flash photography is necessary.

What additional details will I receive about my trip after I've booked?

You'll receive a pre-departure pack in the post around 3-6 weeks prior to travel. This will include letters for you children to write to Santa, big reveal ideals and much more information.

How much luggage can be taken?

If you have any hold luggage it will be with 20kg or 22kg and you'll also have hand luggage allowance of up to 10kg per person. We'll confirm all the details when you're booking with us.

Will I need insurance?

Yes. It's a condition of booking with us that you and your party take out suitable Wintersports Insurance from a reputable provider. We also recommend that you take out travel insurance at the time of booking that offers additional Coronavirus cover.
